Bite: The Roadmap

We've had several conversations recently where firms told us they love the vision but want to wait until ‘agents are ready’. This post is to clarify what Bite is, what exists now, and what's coming when.

One Product, Not Two

Bite is one product. What we previously called Company Intelligence is a knowledge agent coupled with a change detection agent forming Bite v1. The design agents we're building are Bite v2, v3 and beyond. They're not separate products. Each version builds on the last.

What Bite v1 Does (Live Now)

Bite v1 is a knowledge agent along with a change detection agent .

The knowledge agent connects to your file server with read-only access, indexes your documents, and lets anyone on your team ask questions in plain English with instant answers and citations.

  • "What was our approach to the foundation design on the Manchester warehouse?"

  • "Show me similar projects we've done for education clients."

  • "What's our standard detail for steel-to-concrete connections?"

  • Answers in seconds, not hours. Source files linked so you can verify.

The change detection agent that tells you which files have been changed across the design eliminating file versioning issues.

Bite v1 isn't a chatbot bolted onto your folders. We built an orchestrator that routes queries to the right retrieval system, whether that's semantic search across documents or structured database queries for specific values. The architecture matters because it's what makes the design agents possible.

What's Coming

Bite v1.5 ships in April. Impact Detection Agents that tell you what the downstream impacts are of design changes and what changes need to be implemented.

Bite v2 ships in June. Full 2D design agents covering Tedds and Excel. Ask Bite to update a live load value and it propagates the change through your linked spreadsheets. Review and approve before anything executes. Human in the loop, always.

Bite v3 ships in August. 3D design agents for ETABS, SAFE, and Robot. The same orchestration layer now acting on your analysis models.

By year end, Bite handles the full loop: understand your projects, detect changes, execute updates across your tools, generate documentation. One platform.

Why the Versioning Matters Commercially

Price locks at the version when you sign.

Firms who join at v1 pay v1 rates until renewal. Firms who wait for v1.5 pay v1.5 rates. Firms who wait for v2 pay v2 rates.

Early customers also get direct input on the roadmap. The design agents we're building are shaped by the firms using v1 right now. They tell us which integrations to prioritise, which workflows hurt most, what the agents should and shouldn't do.

Waiting is a choice, but it's not free.

Why We Built It This Way

The knowledge agent isn't a stepping stone to the real product. It's the foundation.

Design agents without context are dangerous. An AI agent that can modify your ETABS model but doesn't understand your firm's standards, your past decisions, your project history is an AI agent that will make mistakes. The knowledge agent gives design agents the context they need to act sensibly.

That's why v1 matters even before design agents ship. You're building the knowledge base that makes the design agents useful. Firms using v1 now will have months of indexed project history when design agents go live. Firms who wait will be starting from scratch.

Pricing

  • Small firms under 20 engineers: £10k/year at v1

  • Mid-sized firms 20 to 100 engineers: £25k/year at v1

  • Large firms 100 to 200 engineers: £50k/year at v1

  • Enterprise firms over 200 engineers: £100k+/year at v1

  • V1.5 and v2 pricing increases accordingly.

Get Started

If you've been waiting for design agents, understand that the firms shaping those agents are the ones using Bite now. V1 pricing and founding customer benefits won't last past April.
